Kesternich Test (Liebisch KSE-3003)

The KSE-3003 unit from Liebisch is used for conducting the Kesternich test.

This test allows the determination of the corrosion resistance of materials through a simulated influence of acid rain.

For the test, the object to be examined is fixed in the well-insulated test chamber and then exposed to a corrosive environmental medium.

The medium consists of warm and humid air mixed with a specific amount of sulfur dioxide during the respective test series.

After the test procedures, the appearance of the sample, the time until the first signs of corrosion appear, or the mass losses caused by the aggressive environment are assessed.
