BINDER KB 720 Cooling Incubator with Package P Plus
Battery Test Cabinet EUCAR 5, CO₂ Extinguishing System

Device Description:

For sale is a BINDER KB 720 (E6) cooling incubator, manufactured in 2022,
equipped with the enhanced safety and performance test package "P Plus".

This device is not a standard laboratory incubator, but a high-quality safety test cabinet,
specifically designed for aging, performance, and safety tests of lithium-ion energy storage systems.

This is a fully functional, tested device,
which originally had transport damage to the housing.
This has been professionally repaired and repainted.

Technically flawless – visually in very good condition
100% operational – no restrictions
Price advantage: 1000€ cheaper than comparable devices

Special added value:
The device is designed to safely detect,
monitor, and control critical battery events
– up to EUCAR hazard level 5 (fire/flames, no explosion).

What can the device do specifically? (Point 2 – Performance & Application)

Conduct aging tests on lithium-ion cells
Performance tests (charge/discharge cycles under temperature)
Temperature endurance runs and temperature cycling tests
Tests of unpowered and cyclically powered cells
Reproducible, precise temperature control throughout the usable space
Safe execution of tests under realistic thermal conditions

Test environment for R&D, automotive, e-mobility, and energy storage technology

Suitable for:

Battery & cell manufacturers

Research and development laboratories

Testing laboratories & safety testing

Automotive / E-Mobility / Energy Storage

The P Plus package turns the KB 720 into a true battery safety testing cabinet:

Integrated safety features:

Automatic & manual CO₂ fire suppression system
Smoke detector with optical & acoustic alarm
Mechanical double door locking (secure enclosure)
Fire protection in the interior
Exhaust port with reversible overpressure flap
Connections for external inerting (e.g., nitrogen)
Emergency stop / manual activation of the extinguishing system
Pass-through openings for charging and measuring cables

Result:
The device is designed for tests on lithium-ion cells up to EUCAR hazard level 5,
where fire or flames may occur without explosion
or uncontrolled spread.

Not an abuse or destruction test device, but a safe,
standard-compliant test cabinet for real operating and failure scenarios.
