Nitrogen Inerting with Residual Oxygen Monitoring
The test chamber is initially purged with a large volume of N2 until the
oxygen content is below 3%. After that, it switches to a base load amount (approx. 10% of the large purge volume).
The nitrogen flow of the base load amount is measured with a flow meter, displayed,
and monitored using a limit switch.
The O2 monitoring continuously extracts gas from the test chamber through a flame arrestor
and leads it through an O2 sensor that controls the residual oxygen content of the extracted air.
After that, the gas is redirected back into the test chamber through a second flame arrestor.
The extraction pump is monitored with a volumetric flow meter. Further details can be found
in the operating manual of Dräger attached.
The gas system is currently out of service!

  • Evacuate the circuit and refill it with R 452A, for example.
