The IRB 6640 is the new generation of large robots.
It is based on proven components of the IRB 6600, which are characterized by easier maintenance and interchangeability as well as long operating times.
The IRB 6640 is available with various arm lengths and handling capacities.
With regard to high production performance, compact design, easy operation, and low maintenance costs, the IRB 6640 is the perfect robot for almost all applications!
Adaptable and flexible upper arm extensions and various wrist modules allow for customization to a wide range of requirements.
As the robot can tilt fully backward, it creates a significantly enlarged working area, making it ideal for tight manufacturing environments.
The robot is available in various versions, such as FoundryPlus, FoundryPrime, and Cleanroom, for different working environments.
Higher Payload – Lower Weight One of the biggest advantages of the IRB 6640 is its higher handling capacity.
With a maximum handling capacity of 235 kg, the IRB 6640 is the ideal robot for heavy material handling.
Due to its high wrist torque, it can be used not only for handling heavy but also large parts.
For the IRB 6640ID, the handling capacity has been increased to 200 kg, making it suitable even for the heaviest spot welding applications.
