The Zwick Notch Milling Machine ZNO is used for notching plastic samples according to the standards ASTM D 256,
ASTM D 6110, EN ISO 179, EN ISO 180, and EN ISO 8256
(Charpy and Izod tests)

Studies have shown that the precise positioning of the notch and its dimensions influence the measured work.
Therefore, careful attention must be paid to correct notching.

The combination of a stable construction and safe, easy operation makes the Zwick Notch Milling Machine the ideal tool
for producing notched samples from all types of plastics.

Function Description
A V-shaped notch is milled on one side of the sample using a milling head.

The key features are the radius and the remaining sample width at the notch base.
The samples are clamped into a package and notched in one go.

An optional measuring device is available for checking the notch depth.
The entire milling machine is designed according to valid CE regulations.
Different milling cutters are available for various materials and notch radii, which can be easily exchanged.
