Roell Amsler Testing Machine Pendulum Impact Tester RKP 50

Features:

The pendulum impact tester is used to conduct notch impact bending tests according to
"Charpy" DIN 50115 / DIN 53453.
It has been designed according to DIN 51222.
With additional equipment, notch impact bending tests according to "IZOD",
as well as impact tensile tests can also be performed.
Each pendulum impact tester is tested before delivery according to EN 10045 or
DIN 51306 (ASTM 256-88).
The measurement results and their evaluation are documented in the measurement protocol.

Operating Principle, System Structure

The term "pendulum impact tester" inherently explains the operating principle.
An elevated mass has a potential energy content.
This is converted into kinetic form by the free fall of the mass.
By suitably tethering the mass to a spatially fixed pivot point (pendulum),
the velocity vector is redirected.
At the point of maximum kinetic energy (equal to the minimum potential energy) of the mass,
the sudden loading of a material to be tested is realized.
This occurs in the form of a "bending test".
