Application:
 
For measurement data acquisition, the receiver is connected to an oscilloscope via a BNC connector. The sensors are adapted to the test specimen using micro clips. For reproducible measurements, it is advisable to secure the measurement setup using an attached socket. This should be placed near the digital signal to be monitored (usually an IC pin). The connection of the sensor pins to the power supply, ground, and the signal line (digital input of the sensor) is made using copper lacquer wire as short as possible, avoiding wire loops. Only in this way can interference voltage induction and measurement value distortion be excluded. The sensor is connected to the optical receiver via an optical fiber (Ø 2.2 mm). This ensures non-intrusive monitoring of the digital signal even under extreme interference. Detected disturbance pulses are represented by the optical signal detection OSE as a digital event on the oscilloscope, with the pulse duration set on the receiver. The system is also suitable for signal monitoring of a test specimen under HF interference. Critical signals can be observed on the oscilloscope outside the absorber chamber. By analyzing the disturbed signals, the developer identifies weaknesses in interference immunity and initiates targeted EMC measures.
