Intended Use:

The 3-axial elastomer testing system is used to determine the multiaxial
operational strength of component bearings and multi-component rubber bearings
in comparison to the results from vehicle tests. The loads occurring in vehicles
are realistically simulated.
In this process, the bearings are subjected to forces in the 3 translational directions
that correspond to the values measured during driving tests. The 3-axial
elastomer testing system also allows for the measurement of changes in the characteristic data of the component bearings that occur during operational strength tests
and for appropriate evaluation using suitable PC programs. For
the determination of characteristic data, which can be conducted in the frequency range of 0 - 100 Hz,
the operational strength tests must be interrupted.
Therefore, the testing machine meets the requirements of a vibration testing machine
with high loading energies as well as a measuring machine with high measurement accuracy.
To investigate the temperature behavior of the component bearings, a temperature chamber
is integrated into the testing system. This is supplied with conditioned air
from a separate conditioning unit. At the same time, the
temperature chamber serves as a protective device to protect the operator from hazardous
movements of the testing machine as well as from flying test specimen parts
(up to a certain energy content) during the testing process.
