Integrated Material Management for EOS Polymer Systems

The Integrated Process Chain Management (IPCM) is the powder circulation concept for the
EOS Polymer Laser Sintering process. It encompasses all components that allow for the separation of parts, sieving, processing, and transporting powder.
It has been developed with the utmost care regarding safety in handling the powder, operator comfort, process stability, reproducibility, and quality.
The available components are optimally coordinated and enable the recommended working method and the best possible quality with optimized
cost-effectiveness of e-Manufacturing.
With the IPCM P PLUS, EOS has achieved significant improvements in the processing and handling of the powder circulation. Batch qualification of homogenized
and conditioned mixtures, as well as their traceability, is now possible.

Mixing & Qualification Station (MQS):
For gravimetric dosing, homogenization
and conditioning of used and new powder.
For the creation of traceable, ready-to-use batches – with
sampling device for quality control.
Processes over 700 l of powder material in less than 3 hours.
Sufficient for three build jobs on an EOSINT P 7 system, nine
build jobs on an EOS P 3 system, or 32 build jobs on a FORMIGA
P 1 system

Multibox:
For closed storage, transport, and collection of
refreshed and used powder
Capacity of 230 l
Sufficient for a complete
build job on an EOSINT P 7 system

Docking Station:
completely takes control of the filling of the
machine, securing the Multibox so that it cannot be removed during the build process and controls the pneumatic
vibrator of the Multibox to ensure complete and reliable emptying
of the Multibox.
Supplies laser sintering systems with powder material
through a pneumatic conveying system.
A Docking Station supplies an EOSINT P 7 system,
an EOS P 3 system, or two FORMIGA P 1 systems.

Unpacking and Sieving Station P1/P3

The modular unpacking and sieving station combines the downstream tasks of additive manufacturing
unpacking, sieving, and used powder conveying in a facility optimized for this purpose.
Dust protection hood:
The modular unpacking and sieving station is equipped with a dust protection hood
that provides a connection option for a vacuum cleaner or
an in-house extraction system.
