The manual multi-angle goniometer with superior performance and angular accuracy
of this laser ellipsometer allows for the measurement of the refractive index,
extinction coefficient, and film thickness of individual films and layer stacks.

High Speed

The measurement speed of our laser ellipsometer SE 400adv enables the user to
monitor the growth of a single film and endpoint detection or map samples for homogeneity.

With the laser ellipsometer SE 400adv, individual films and substrates can be characterized from selectable,
application-specific angles of incidence. The automatically collimating telescope ensures
precise measurement on most absorbing or transparent substrates with a flat,
reflective surface. The fully integrated support for multiple angle measurements (40° - 90° in 5° increments)
can be used to determine the thickness, refractive index, and extinction coefficient of layer stacks.
Multiple angle measurements are also applied for absolute thickness measurement,
to compensate for the ambiguity of thickness measurement in laser ellipsometry.

The SE 400adv is the SENTECH laser ellipsometer for measuring the thickness of ultrathin individual films. The compact tabletop device
consists of ellipsometer optics, goniometer, sample platform, autocollimation telescope, HeNe laser source, and detection unit.
