In the RTM process (resin transfer molding), a low-viscosity thermoset is injected into the closed mold through one or more channels under moderate pressure (typically around 3.5 to 7 bar).

The injected resin fills all cavities in the mold, impregnates the reinforcement material,

and wets its entire surface.

Different types of fibers are used for reinforcement, including continuous fibers,

mats, or fabrics. To improve the flow behavior of the resin and reduce air inclusions,

the resins are also processed under vacuum – typically, the molded part cures under heat.
