Corrosion Cyclic Testing
Before corrosion cyclic tests, conventional salt spray testing (continuous salt spray at 35 °C) was the standard method for simulating rust in a laboratory.
Because conventional salt spray methods could not imitate natural wet-dry cycles, test results often did not correlate with outdoor weathering results.

In a corrosion cyclic testing device, the test specimens are subjected to a series of different environmental conditions in a repeating cycle that reproduces outdoor conditions.
Simple cycles like Prohesion provide cyclic salt mist and dry exposure, and in more demanding automotive test methods, multi-stage cycles can be run,
which, in addition to salt mist and dry exposure, also include moisture cycles (condensation).

The Q-FOG allows for the cycling of almost all important corrosion atmospheres in a testing chamber.
With the Q-FOG control unit, you can also quickly and easily program the most complex test cycles.
