As a cost-effective alternative to conventional PC-SPS connections, IBHsoftec presents the IBH Link S7++ for drive configuration,

for communication between PC and Siemens controllers, controllers among themselves, and FDT applications.

The IBH Link S7++ is a compact and robust Ethernet converter for connection via a switch, a hub, or directly to the PC with a simple network card.

The protocol used is the standard TCP/IP. All the advantages of Ethernet thus benefit the user without any issues,

such as the establishment of remote maintenance via standard routers or VPN connections (Virtual Private Network).

A direct connection to the Internet is also possible. With the IBH Link S7++, operation on PROFIBUS DP at up to 12 MBit/s or also on PPI and MPI is possible.

This leads to significant cost savings, as the use of SimaticNet is not necessary, nor is the use of a CP communication processor;

neither on the PC side nor on the SPS side.
