The FARO Laser Tracker X and Xi model is a portable contact measurement system,

which accurately measures large parts and machines across a wide range of industrial applications using laser technology.

It has a diameter range of 70 m (230 feet),

achieves a 3D single-point accuracy of 0.011 mm (0.0004 inches) and is robust enough for the workshop environment.

The system measures 3D coordinates with its laser by following a mirrored spherical probe.

High-precision angle encoders – along with XtremeADM (absolute distance measurement) – report the 3D position of the probe in real-time.
