General
The laboratory power supplies of the PS3000B series are designed for universal use in development, research, training, service
and production. The clear arrangement, simple and intuitive operation, and proven technology
characterize these devices.
Technical Data
Input Voltage: 115 or 230 Volts at 50/60 Hz (switchable)
Output Voltage: 0 to 65 Volts maximum
Output Current: 0 to 10 Amperes maximum
Overvoltage Protection: 0 to 70 Volts (OVP)
Overcurrent Protection: 0 to 10 Amperes (CC)
Overtemperature Protection: Shutdown (OT)
The devices of the PS3000B series up to 320W output power are linear regulated power supplies. They offer, in addition to the
well-known advantages of a constant output voltage with low ripple and short settling time, a
variety of additional features. This includes a 2-stage transformer switching to
reduce power loss at the power MOSFET output stages, which are mounted on a power heat sink and
cooled by a temperature-controlled fan.
Furthermore, the devices have an analog interface.
This can be expanded with the external interface EA-UTA12 to a USB interface.
Control and Display Elements
The output voltage and output current of the devices can be set either via a coarse and fine adjustment knob
or controlled via the analog interface with 0...10V. The corresponding values can be read on a
3-digit LED 7-segment display or via the monitor outputs of the analog interface (0...10V).
While pressing the preset button, the set current, as well as the overvoltage protection (OVP) set via a
10-step trimmer on the front, can be read and precisely adjusted on the LED displays.
The operating mode in which the device is currently working is indicated by two LEDs. Here, CV stands for
Voltage Regulation and CC for Current Regulation.
Additional LEDs indicate the status of the device.
LED External = Analog interface active
LED OT = Shutdown due to Overtemperature
LED OVP = Shutdown due to Overvoltage
LED Standby = Shutdown due to Analog interface
