Product Description

The DataMan 8500 handheld scanner from Cognex reliably decodes 1D and 2D codes with its powerful reading algorithms.

Its integrated UltraLight® illumination combines bright field, dark field, and diffuse illumination into a single, electronically controlled light source.

Another highlight is the integrated LEDs. They make even challenging DPM codes easily readable.

With its LiquidLens® optics, the scanner also reliably reads codes from distances of up to 0.5 m.

You can easily replace the scanner's communication modules on-site.

This allows you to seamlessly integrate the DPM imager into the existing factory network.

This saves significant costs during installation and enables remote diagnostics. Depending on your needs, you can choose between wired variants with RS-232 or USB interfaces and wireless variants with WLAN.

In particular, the wireless variants are the right choice when you need to read codes from a greater distance.

The WLAN connection in the standard 802.11b/g is WEP encrypted.

Note: When connecting via USB, you will need the power supply. The power provided via USB is not sufficient for operation.
