The power supply terminal KL9400 is used for refreshing the K-Bus,

over which data exchange takes place between bus couplers and bus terminals.

Each bus terminal requires a specific current from the K-Bus (see "Current Consumption K-Bus" in the technical data).

This current is supplied to the K-Bus by the power supply of the respective bus coupler.

The standard couplers (BKxx00, BCxx00) provide 1.75 A to the K-Bus,

the "Economy" (BKxx10) and "Low Cost" couplers (LCxx00) provide 0.5 A.

In configurations with a large number of bus terminals, the KL9400 can be used

to increase the power supply of the K-Bus by 2 A.
