The TwinSAFE component EL6900 represents a dedicated safety controller. It is used to implement safety-oriented
applications based on Boolean values. Certified function blocks are available to process safe input signals and generate safe output signals.

The functionality of the function blocks ranges from simple Boolean functions like AND and OR to complex function blocks for performing a muting of the safety function.

In addition, the EL6900 offers a simple way to easily switch a safety controller in case of service with the Backup and Restore function.

The EL6900 can securely exchange data with up to 128 safe communication participants via FSoE.

Programming of the EL6900 can be done with the TwinCAT 3 Safety Editor or with TwinCAT 2.
