Description

The AB SCIEX API 4000TM LC/MS/MS system uses the TurboIonSpray probe
and the Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization (APCI) probe to generate ions from liquid samples.
The term LC/MS/MS, used for the triple quadrupole series, is a general designation for the combined
analytical processes of liquid separation and subsequent mass spectrometric analysis.
The device is configured for performing complex MS/MS analyses,
but can also conduct single MS scans (LC/MS) for less stringent analytical requirements.

AB Sciex API 4000

The API 4000 LC/MS/MS system enables all MS/MS operating modes for the complete characterization of biopharmaceutical compounds and the specificity required for the development of new drugs.
For pharmaceutical and pharmacokinetic samples, MS/MS provides the necessary sensitivity and specificity to analyze hundreds of samples per day without elaborate sample preparation.

For peptides and proteins, molecular weights can be determined with an accuracy of better than 0.01% at 200 kDa.
